Wilmer graduated High School in 1952. Once he graduated high school, he enlisted and began his 44 year career. He spent the majority of his time working for the Nike Hercules Missile Defense Systems for the DFW area. His career also took him to El Paso serving as a Warrant Officer at the Fire Control Systems. He made several other stops during his career including three tours at the Pentagon. He retired in 1993 at the rank of CWO-W4 (Chief Warrant Officer -W4). He then began his second career building hotels and finally decided at 81 to retire and build a home in Malakoff.
He was an amazing father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with dear friends and his family. Wilmer's days were spent helping his kids, working around the house, watching his deer feeder and Roxy was always by his side. He was very hard working, generous and most of all humble.

My love goes out to the whole family but especially to Jenni, Tim and Royce who I've known my whole life. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am certain you learned many things from your Dad through the years but I would say a determination and drive to reach your goals was at the top. He has and always will have a special place in my heart.
