Corsicana - The family of Tim Vickery of Dallas, Texas, said their final goodbyes as he passed away on December 29, 2025. Tim was born on May 7, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Frederick Charles and Mattie Bell Vickery. He grew up in Corsicana alongside his two sisters, Charlotte and Shirley.
After graduating from Texas Tech University in 1970, Tim moved to Dallas where he honorably served in the Army National Guard for six years. He loved Dallas and made it his home for the remainder of his life. He enjoyed a fast-paced career in advertising and marketing, working with the Dallas Times Herald in sales management in one of the most competitive two-newspaper markets in the country. Later, he joined the leadership team at Ivie & Associates, helping to drive the company's exponential growth as a key contact with some of the largest retailers in the country.
Tim was happiest spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Karen, of 37 years; his son, Jackson; his daughter, Brooks; his son-in-law, Ben; and his granddaughter, Norah.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 22, 3:00 p.m., at Highland Park United Methodist Church, Cox Chapel. Memorial donations may be made in Tim's name to Journey Ministry at Highland Park United Methodist Church. https://fs11.formsite.com/hpumc/Memorials2020/index.html
