Raymond  Gorden
Raymond Gorden passed away Aug. 20, 2019 at his home in Barry surrounded by his family. Born Aug. 7, 1939 to Edward Lee Gorden and Tillie Gorden Ward.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Bill Gorden, Daisy Scruggs, Maxine Gorden and Ray Dean Gorden.
Raymond married the love of his life, Patsy Worsham Gorden on Oct. 19, 1961.
He is survived by three daughters: Lisa Gant, Lori Rackard and husband Billy, Leah Molter and husband Mark; brother, Dewey Elton Gorden; 10 grandchildren, Christina Kormos husband Tony, Morgan Gant and Andy Balcom, Aaron and Derrick Gant, Cole and Dalton Rackard, Mason, Brooke, Brenna and Kendall Molter, as well as two great grand-children Rivers and Kinsley Kormos.
Raymond served in the National Guard for seven years. After graduation he began working in the telephone industry as a systems installer. He retired at the age of 50 after working 30 years with Western Electric/ATT. After retirement he enjoyed life to the fullest going on cruises, building furniture, going to Canton, taking care of all his grandkids, working in his yard and shop. He was very active with The Friendship Class where he served as president for a number of years at First United Methodist Church in Corsicana.
Please join the family in celebrating the life of Raymond at a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2019 8pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana. There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church located at 320 N. 15th St Corsicana, TX. 75110 services will begin at 11 a.m.
