Corsicana, Texas - Patsy Blank passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born on April 1, 1939, in Mexia, Texas, to John Earl Downey and Muzzle Jackson Downey, Patsy lived a remarkable life filled with adventure, hard work, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. On October 7, 1978, she married the love of her life, Ernest "Ernie" Blank, and together they shared many wonderful years.

Patsy enjoyed traveling and especially loved cruising to new destinations. An avid reader, she built an impressive personal library and could often be found enjoying a good book. She also loved working puzzles, playing tennis, spending time in the sunshine, and embracing all that nature had to offer.

While she had many interests, Patsy's true passion was ranching. A lifelong rancher, she devoted herself to caring for the land and the animals that were such an important part of her life. Her dedication, hard work, and commitment to the ranching industry earned her the distinction of being named Rancher of the Year. She loved all animals, but her beloved llamas held a special place in her heart.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Ernie Blank; her nephew, Jerry Downey; numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime friends Fidel and Elizabeth Gonzales and their family. Fidel faithfully served as ranch manager for 23 years and was considered a cherished member of the family.

She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, unwavering work ethic, love of animals, and the kindness and friendship she shared with everyone who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00 p.m.

Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Cobb Cemetery in Groesbeck, Texas.

Patsy's legacy of dedication, compassion, and love for the ranching life will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
