Corsicana, Texas - Norman Edward Shaw of Corsicana, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee, was born to Gladys Boothe Shaw and Edward Mathias Shaw in Jackson, Mississippi on February 7, 1929. He was a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order, Omicron Delta Kappa, Yearbook Editor, Cheerleader for two years and the Student Hall of Fame.

From 1951 until 1968 he was a partner of Benson Printing Company in Nashville. In 1955, he and the love of his life, Gloria Davitt, were married by Doctor Walter Courtney of First Presbyterian Church in Nashville. They had two daughters, Evelina Kenner and Elizabeth Bringier.

In 1968 he became partner of Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, Texas. As Executive Vice President he helped build the company into an internationally famous enterprise. He was founder of Data Dallas Corporation and served on its board. He retired from Collin Street Bakery in 1998.

Buddy retained an active interest in the University of Mississippi, serving on the Alumni and University Development Boards. He was a member of the Ventress Order and chancellors' Trust. He was active in civic work in Corsicana and served on several boards including the Corsicana Chamber of Commerce, Family Service, Corsicana Country Club and received the Breithaupt Award for many years of service to the Corsicana YMCA. He was a member of First Methodist Church. Earlier he was a Deacon and Elder in the Presbyterian Church.

He loved the outdoors and was happiest when admiring the work of a good bird dog or playing golf with friends. He loved music of all kinds from Jazz to Classical. Buddy and Gloria spent half of the year with their friends in Nashville where they were members of the Belle Meade Country Club and attended First Presbyterian Church.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Gloria, his parents, his sister Alma Brou, and his daughter Kenner Shaw Cantwell.

He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Melton, his sister Lynda Queen, three grandchildren, Alex Capehart, Craig Hodges, Billy Barber and two great grandchildren Nolan and Brynlee Capehart.
