Myra Wanita Wooten, 82 of Bazette, Texas, was called to her Heavenly home by her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 7, 2024. She was born on Saturday, February 1, 1941 in Corpus Christi, Texas to John and Avis Garling Garland. She married Monroe Barton Wooten, Jr. on Saturday the 5th of September 1959 T in Harris County, Texas. They had 3 children, Sherry, Gary and Terrie.

Myra has always been a hard worker, working many years as a school custodian, on the assembly lines with Leggatt and Plate, many years at Bancroft Pecan House and ended her years of work at Russell Stover's. She always had a hug for anyone and everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Gary Wooten; brother, Doug Garland; 2 sisters, Sheila Karm & Jean Capps and great grandson, Colt Wolfe.

Myra is survived by her two daughters, Terrie Cheshire, Sherry Trull and husband Ricky; sister-in-law Dot Garland; 12 grand kids; 30 great grand kids, 1 great great grandson and a number of nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, January 13, 2024 at the Kerens Cowboy Church with Bro. Craig Hines officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kerens Cowboy Church 13009 E. State Hwy 31 Kerens, Texas 75144
