Maston  Hart
Maston "Matt" Riley Hart, 78, went home to our Lord and Savior on Aug. 27, 2019. Matt was born on April 15, 1941 in Malakoff. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at his home in Pursley, of which he was a 41 year resident.
Matt was a Deacon of the Pursley Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing. Matt shared a love for making music, especially on the guitar. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a true friend to all he met.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 wonderful years, Mary Jo Hart; parents, Riley and Minnie Ellen Hart; precious granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Hart; sisters, Martha Jo Hart, Billie Stark, and Maxine Campbell.
Matt is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bubba and Janet Hart; daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Dale Owen; grandson James Maston Pritchett; granddaughters and grandson-in-laws: Amy and Steven Virgil, Tiffany and Tony Robinson, and Chrissie and Wade Bazar; great grandchildren: Jackson Riley and Mary Kate Virgil, Antony, Tylen, and Kylie Jo Robinson, Ayden and Addie Bazar; sister-in-law, Claudine Gibbs; and special family friends, Travis, Sue, and Chris Anderson.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019 at Corley Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, 2019 at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana with Pastor Chet Brake of Pursley Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers will be David Murray, Terry Brooks, Greg Eddins, Don Owens, Travis Anderson, and Stan Lawhon. Robert Young and all the coffee drinkers from the Parrish County Store will serve as honorary pallbearers.
