Marvin Lee Combs was born on January 14, 1930. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Jack and Alma Combs, siblings, Addie Beth Cowden and Bobby Joe Combs, and daughter in law Suzanne Birdwell Combs.

Married Nell Lancaster and had five children. Kent, Gary, Sidney, Melody and Melinda.

Marvin is survived by his children son Kent Combs/wife Mary, son Gary Combs, son Sidney Combs/ wife Linda, Melody Modisette /husband Martie, and Melinda Bunch /husband Gerald. Seventeen grandchildren, forty-five great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. Proceeded in death by Gloria Nell Lancaster, daughter-in-law Suzanne Combs and three great grandchildren Rodney Brown, Moriah Modisette and Riyanna Henry.

Marvin worked 30 years as a coater operator at Continental Can Company (also known in later years as Crown Cork and Seal) in Houston and was transferred to Longview Texas and then retired. After retirement Marvin worked in construction, air conditioning and painting.

Marvin's favorite hobby was playing Cash 5. He enjoyed spending time with his children and reminiscing about old times.

Marvin Lee Combs of Kerens passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on April 7, 2023. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Friday, April 14, 2023 at Paschal Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 1 PM Saturday, April 15, 2023 in Paschal Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Tool Cemetery.
