Margaret Mae McQuary McClure Obituary

Margaret Mae McQuary McClure was born on May 31, 1941 to William Harlan and Letha Mae Braddock McQuary in Kerens, Tx. She passed away early Saturday morning, at her home with her family by her side on May 15, 2021.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years Johnny C. McClure, both of her parents, brother Steve McQuary and son-in-law Ken Hayes.

She will be missed and remembered by her children Joyce Hayes, Curtis and wife Millie McClure, Gloria Kent and husband Dan, Wayne and wife Jada McClure. Margaret has 11 grandchildren, Josh, Kristi, Jenni, Katie, Heather, George, Carrie, Mataw, Linsey, Taylor, and Casey. She has 23 great grandchildren. Also survived by her 2 sisters, Dolly Colvin and husband Jerald and Vi Lancaster are husband Ricky.

Margaret attended Kerens High school and later received her Associates degree in education. She retired after 30 plus years with Community Services, where she spent countless hours teaching children in both the centers and homes. She later became their Health Coordinator for both Navarro and Ellis counties, making sure that all children received Health and Dental care. Her passion was for under privilege and special needs children...from speech therapy to mobility and agility issues all children received the very best care that she could get them. Margaret attended First United Methodist church in Kerens and loved helping with their Bible school programs. She enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Josh Jamison, Mataw Kent, Todd Teetz, Chase Martinez, Kyler Dalrymple, nephew Gary Berry and honorary pallbearer George McClure.

Visitation will be at Paschal funeral home in Kerens Monday night, May 17th from 6-8 p.m.

Services will be held at First United Methodist church in Kerens on Tuesday the 18th at 10 a.m. with the reverend Gene Ratliff officiating.

Interment will follow immediately at Prairie Point Cemetery in Bazzette.
