Linda  Kent
Linda Burden Kent passed away Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at her home in Kerens. She was born on June 15, 1950, in Pasadena, Texas, the daughter of AF "Burto" and Margaret Burden. She was a loving wife, sister, sister-in-law, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Linda was proceeded in death by her parents and her husband Bobby Kent. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Debra and Danny Green of Kerens; grandson, Tyler Green, his wife Tori and great grandson Beau of Cleveland, Texas as well as grandsons Lane Green and Hunter Green and fiance Callie Parker of Kerens. She is also survived by step-daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Wade Morgan and grandson Jace Morgan of Conroe; brothers Floyd Burden and wife Sharen of Deer Park, Texas and Larry Burden and wife Kathy of Frisco and numerous nephews and nieces.
Growing up in Pasadena, Linda and her family moved to Kerens in the fall of 1967, graduating from Kerens High School the following year. She enrolled in Navarro Junior College and after a short break graduated from the School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She began her long career of 32 years at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana where she influenced others with her love and compassion for patients and professional care. After retiring she continued her interest and love of quilting and began to explore and enjoy traveling.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020 at Pascal Funeral Home in Kerens. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Kerens. Pallbearers are James Burden, John Burden, Matt Burden, Wade Morgan, Mike Jennings and Gary Don Jennings.

I was not able to attend the funeral as my mother in law had passed away. Linda was the best nurse you could ever ask for (including Patty Toland). She always had a smile and the patience of Job. I always knew my family parents were going to be in good hands when LK was on duty. She will be missed by all but left behind so many great memories. My prayers are with Debra and the family. Oh my. I have just learned that Linda passed. Her service is now and I’m not there!! A very best friend in high school. I have and will always loved her. Broken-hearted. Buster and Larry much love.

Linda was a beautiful person inside and out. She made everyone feel special. Debra, you were very blessed to have her for your mother. She had a heart overflowing with love . Linda was an example of a selfless servant, always helping others. She was truly best of the best. I will always remember her and her acts of kindness. Will miss this beautiful lady.
