Round Rock, Texas - Leona Mary (Czajkowski) Mims was born to Ike M. Czajkowski and Catherine (Bielamowicz) Czajkowski in Robertson County on February 10, 1936. She passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Hearthstone Nursing and Rehabilitation in Round Rock.

Leona attended the Catholic school in Bremond. She worked at Texas Instrument, Bremond Nursing Home and Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana. She lived in Bremond and Corsicana but spent her retirement years in Corsicana with her husband, Jerry, who passed away in 2005. She continued to live in Corsicana until 2023 when she moved to Round Rock to be closer to her sister, Nell and brother, Ronnie.

Leona was a hard worker and loved to cook. She had a soft spot for animals and always had pets (dogs and cats) through the years. During her final years in Corsicana, she took care of many feral cats.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry and brothers, Clyde, Bill, James and Larry.

Graveside services are set for Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at

St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at 9:00 am with Father Celso Yu officiating.
