Purdon, Texas - Kenneth Wayne Foster, born on February 21, 1940, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on August 18, 2024, at his residence in Purdon, TX, surrounded by his beloved family. Kenneth was the devoted husband of Mable Foster, sharing 67 years of love and partnership. Together, they built a strong and loving family, including their children Robin Moritz (Terry), Carrie Benson (Jim), and Gary Foster (Valerie), as well as their cherished grandchildren Steven Moritz, Marc Moritz, Amanda Healy, and Blake Benson (Courtney). Kenneth's legacy continues through his six great-grandchildren.
Kenneth had a distinguished career in construction, founding and running Foster Painting and Decorating, a commercial paint contracting company that flourished under his leadership for over 30 years. His talent and relentless pursuit of perfection left a lasting mark on businesses throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Kenneth was also a proud member of the Shriners, achieving the honor of 32nd degree Mason.
In his retirement, Kenneth enjoyed life to the fullest, indulging in his passions for fishing, antique cars, and building custom homes. He was happiest when surrounded by friends and family, sharing stories and laughter.
Kenneth will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of hard work, love, and dedication will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
Visitation with his family will be Wednesday evening at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home from 5-7pm. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at 10:00am in the Chapel at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas at 12:30pm.
