Katie Lee (Mayfield) Pulliam Obituary

Katie Lee (Mayfield) Pulliam, 94, of Dawson, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at a Corsicana hospital. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19 at Liberty Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Barnum officiating.

Katie was born March 12, 1927 in Brownwood to Jay and Mary Ethel (Stewart) Mayfield. She was raised in Brownwood where she was a graduate of Brownwood High School. After marrying William "Bill" Pulliam, she traveled with him during his 22-year military career to various military installations around the globe including Scotland and England. They eventually moved to the Dawson/Navarro Mills area in 1975 where they owned and operated the Navarro Mills Marina for nearly 30 years. Katie dearly loved her family and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their many sports endeavors over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and two sisters; her husband, Bill in 2016 and two sons, Donnell Pulliam and Evan Leroy "Lee" Pulliam.

Survivors include two children, Sheryl Bragg and husband, Tom of Dawson and William Pulliam, Jr. and wife, Karen of Dawson; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends.
