June Trent Abbie, 86 of Kerens, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father December 7, 2021 at 2:54 AM.

She was born in Rural Shade, Texas on Thursday, January 24, 1935 to Joe and Viola Trent.

She lived all of her life in Kerens, Texas working for Oil City Iron Works and American National Insurance Company as an insurance agent for many many years. She was devoted to raising her 6 kids and teaching them her love for her Lord. She played the piano at the Kerens Missionary Baptist Church that she taught herself to do for most of her life as well as teaching Sunday School for a lot of Kerens middle school and high school age students. She loved praising her Lord and she would tell everyone she saw about his love. She would say always smile and have fun because remember you are making memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe & Viola Trent; brothers, Elmer Trent, Clayton Trent, and Joe Trent, Jr.; The love of her life Charles Capehart and daughter Delia Cope.

June is survived by sons Leroy Hobbs, Jr. and wife Tanya, Trent Hobbs, stepson Mike Capehart and wife Laura, and Ronnie Renfro. Daughters Renay Crawford and husband Tim, Carolyn Kilcrease and husband Bert, Glenda Curry and husband Doug, and step daughter Winona Depew; 22 grand kids; 53 great grandkids; 10 great great grandkids. Two brothers, Clarence Trent and wife Nancy, and Douglas Trent and wife Diana and numerous nieces and nephews that she thought a lot of.

Services will be Monday, December 13, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Kerens, Texas. Visitation will be Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Paschal Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Association or Cancer Society.
