San Antonio, Texas - Judy Connolly went to be with the Lord July 28, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born March 25, 1943, in Corsicana, Texas to Velma and Haskell Whittenburg and grew up in Athens, Texas. She attended Lon Morris College and graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas where she met her husband of sixty years, Reverend Tom Connolly. Following Southwestern, she and Tom served churches throughout the Southwest Texas and Central Texas Conferences of the United Methodist Church.

Judy graduated with a degree in education from Southwestern and spent her life teaching children in schools throughout South and Central Texas. She was the first in her family to graduate from college. She retired from Corsicana ISD after spending more than thirty years in the classroom.

Judy loved her family and many friends from the many places she lived over her life. She came from a large extended family with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Judy is survived by her husband, Reverend Tom Connolly, son John Mark and daughter-in-law Cindy, grandchildren Jacob, Samuel and Andrew and daughter Amy. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and sister.

A memorial service for Judy will be held at First Methodist Church in Corsicana, Texas on Saturday, August 2 at 2:00pm.
