Joseph David Darby, 67, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at home with his loved ones by his side. Joe was born on August 11, 1956 to Angelene and the late Tom Darby in Corsicana, Tx. He graduated from Kerens High School in 1974 and then enlisted in the US Army in 1975. Joe served a total of 6 years with 3 of those years being active duty. He completed his service as an E-4 Specialist. In 1979, Joe was employed by Mobil Oil which later became Exxon-Mobil in 1999. He retired in 2018 after 39 years. Joe married his wife, Donna, on April 26, 1980. They had three children: KJ, Danika & Brooke. Joe and Donna have been married for 43 years. Joe wore many titles: husband, dad, grandaddy, brother, son, friend, health food specialist, and his most well-known title with his son, coach. He loved coaching KJ when he was younger, and his favorite sport was baseball. When he wasn't working, he loved to play golf and fish. Joe worked hard for his family to provide every opportunity he could. He lived a life dedicated to making sure his children and grandchildren were always taken care of. They were the light of his life, and his legacy will be deeply felt for many years to come.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Tom Darby, his nephew Jacob Darby, his mother-in-law Sandra Lewis, and father-in-law Kenneth Lewis. He is survived by his wife Donna Darby, son KJ and wife Kristen Darby, Danika Griggs and fiancé David Daniels, and Brooke Darby. His six grandchildren; Liv Darby, Kennie Darby, Andi Griggs, Darby Griggs, Grady Griggs, and Austin Green. Joe also absolutely adored his two-dachshund weenie dogs; Henry and Izzy. Siblings; Sister, Janene Mueller, and brothers Tommy and Andy Darby.
