Corsicana - Mrs. Jerrell Dean "Jerry" Gregory, age 82, of Corsicana, Texas passed away on May 7, 2024, in Dallas, Texas.

She was born on March 1, 1942, in Corsicana, Texas to William B. and Vella V. (Boyd) Blackmon. She graduated from Mildred High School in 1960. Jerry married W.T. Gregory on September 12, 1961. They lived in Arlington then moved to Duncanville to raise their children. In 1983 they moved back to Mildred to her families land.

Jerry was a very talented seamstress. She sewed cheerleading uniforms, dance costumes, prom dresses, wedding party and wedding dresses. She loved to be outside working in her greenhouse, garden, flowerbeds and raising Polled Herford Cattle. W.T. and Jerry loved traveling in their RV. They traveled around doing Genealogy and with the National Methodist Campers Chapter 18 enjoying fellowship. She was very active in First United Methodist Church. She served with various groups cooking, helped build the church garden and delivered Meals on Wheels, recruiting any grandchild willing to help. Jerry took painting classes and learned how to paint; their house was decorated with a lot of her beautiful paintings. She also loved following her grandchildren around playing sports and various other activities.

Jerry was preceded in death by her parents, William B. and Vella V. Blackmon, and her daughter-in-law Barbara Ann Gregory.

Jerry is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, William T. "W.T." Gregory; her children, William Timothy "Bill" Gregory of Mildred, Texas, Kimberly Steele and her husband Dale of Andrews, Texas, Ray Adams and his wife Tonya of Midlothian, Texas. Her Grandchildren, Ashley Taylor and husband Joey, Allison Gregory, Matthew Steele and his wife Cassandra, Kaitlin Brinkley and her husband Ethan, and Austin Adams: and her Great-Grandchildren, Bryan Hargrave, Hattie Taylor, Seth Wilbanks, Lane Steele, Tenley Steele, Landry Brinkley and Kase Brinkley, who all called her Meme, and her Brother-In-Law Elic Gregory and wife Carol. She also leaves behind numerous other family members and friends.

Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Corley Magnolia Chapel in Corsicana, Texas. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the same day. Interment will follow in the Eureka Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Austin Adams, Ethan Brinkley, Joey Taylor, Bryan Hargrave and Matthew Steele. Elic Gregory will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Jerry will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her legacy of love, dedication, and family will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives.
