Hariett Roop, 79, of Corsicana, gained her heavenly wings on Saturday, March 18, 2023, after a brief illness. She has now been reunited with the love of her life, her husband of 40 years, Gene Roop. Her life's work was spent taking care of her 5 children and many others, as she worked in home health for over 30 years. Hariett was an amazing soul who loved her family immensely.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Herb and Danessa Roop, Irene Roop, Tim and Lisa Roop, Blanche and Blake Swadley and Milford Roop. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren with whom she adored to no end!

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, March 20, 2023, at the Corley Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in the Corley Magnolia Chapel. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Beeman Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Theo Roop, Matthew Roop, Kevin Bailey, Robert Bailey, Justin O'Pry, and Gregory Ewing.

In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
