Corsicana, TX - Gary Dan Sanders, 85, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away on August 19, 2026.

Gary lived a full and meaningful life marked by service, hard work, and love for his family. He married the love of his life, Kathy Ann Dickson, on July 1, 1966, and together they shared many years of travel and memories. Gary served his country as an Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Air Force, a role he carried with pride throughout his life.

He had a strong work ethic and a varied career, beginning as a medical technologist and later working in insurance, real estate, security, and as a sheriff's deputy jailer. Gary was also an entrepreneur who owned his own business. Outside of work, he was a devoted fan of the University of Texas Longhorns, loved singing and listening to gospel music, enjoyed cooking—especially spicy food and had a passion for collecting knives and guns.

Gary is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Scott and Steven; daughter-in-law, Jody; granddaughters, Morgan and Madison; and grandson-in-law, Justen Dirsch.
