Ella  Crofut
Ella Ruth (Winkler) Crofut passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2020, at the age of 80. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Ella Ruth was born on November 28, 1939, in Brownwood, Texas and was raised by her paternal grandparents in Richland Springs, Texas.
She married the love of her life, Sonny
Crofut on March 20, 1959. They raised three children, Teresa, Don and Peggy.
She was a stay at home mother and enjoyed taking care of her family, doing crosswords, puzzles, sewing, and watching Wheel of Fortune with her son-in-law, Gary Don Jennings. In 1979, she went to work for K-Mart in Corsicana to earn extra money for Christmas. She stayed with them, becoming a department manager, until they closed in 2003.
She is preceded in death by her husband Sonny and son, Don Crofut. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Jennings and husband Gary Don of Kerens. Daughter, Peggy Lane and husband Gary of Keller and Cindy Lane of Springtown. Grandchildren, Charles Black of Hempstead, Richard Crofut of Hempstead, Laura Lane and Wade Anders of Keller, Randall Lane and wife Christina of Mansfield, and Rachael Goodwin and husband Jeff of Mabank. Great Grandchildren Dakota Goodwin, Hudson Goodwin, Harrison Lane, McKenzie Lane, and Brooklynn Crofut.
A register book is available for signatures 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Paschal Funeral Home. The family has requested private services.

Your mom ELla worked with me at KMart until we closed then we moved to highway 31. I was a junior in high school. Your mom took care of me as her own. A lot of laughter and fun! I am sorry for your loss and will continue to pray.

I'm sorry for y'all loss. Brooklynn always loved going to see grandma. I wish we could be there but with live in Georgia and with all this coronavirus I'm afraid we not going to be able to make we love y'all and I'll be praying and thinking about yall
