Corsicana - Elizabeth Stroube Johnson, born on September 26, 1948, in Santa Monica, California, peacefully entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on January 24, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Betty Nell Crain and Joe Stroube and was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. WC Stroube, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Crain.

Elizabeth's spirit lives on through the love she shared with her devoted husband, Carl "Ron" Johnson, and her adoring children: daughter Melissa Henson Sweeney and her husband Ben Sweeney, daughter Amanda Henson Hixson and her husband Bob Hixson, son William "Ryan" Henson and his children Ella, Mary Kate, Joan, and William Henson, and son Jordan Christopher Johnson. She is also survived by her stepchildren and their families: stepdaughter Kathy Johnson Elliott and her husband Bill Elliott, along with their children Nathan and Caleb Elliott, stepson Justin Johnson and his wife Christi Johnson, accompanied by their daughter Carly. Elizabeth is also remembered with love by her sister, Susan Stroube Moore, and her husband Terry Moore.

Growing up in Corsicana, Texas, Elizabeth spent her childhood in a community that shaped her character and values. As an adult, she made Dallas, TX, her home. A proud graduate of Corsicana High School and Southern Methodist University, Elizabeth's intellect was matched only by her warmth and kindness.

Known for her beauty, genuine spirit, and unwavering faith, Elizabeth was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. Adored by her children, she touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Elizabeth possessed special talents in interior design and fashion, eventually establishing her own design business later in life.

Her love for travel, especially to France and the Caribbean, brought her immense joy, and she cherished the bonds with her special group of friends known as "the Six Pack."

A memorial service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 10 am in the Magnolia Chapel at Corley Funeral Home, with Pastor James Terry Moore officiating.
