Corsicana - Doris Brown McGaugh, age 97, of Corsicana, passed away on August 14, 2025, joining our Lord, family, and friends. Visitation will take place at 9:00 a.m. on August 23, 2025, followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m. at Corley's Funeral Home with Pastor Floyd Peterson officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis, Texas.

Mrs. McGaugh was preceded in death by her first husband Bruce Brown, her parents E.L. and Bertha Brown, three sisters - Marcel Mullins, Frances Tarkington, and Lora Lee Miller, two brothers - Truitt Brown and Lewis Brown, and her beloved grandson, Michael Ray Gerich. Doris often shared that upon arriving in heaven, she would first embrace her grandson. She is survived by her husband Joe McGaugh; two daughters, Cindy (Raymond Gerich) of Texas and Renee (Ken Bumpas) of Alabama; a son, Bruce Brown II (Cyndy)of Georgia; and two stepdaughters, Debbie and (Alex Rodriguez), and Sherry (Mike Dowd), both of Texas. Grandchildren: Shaun and Kim Gerich (TX), Scott and Alicia Gerich (TX), Whitney and Nick Barbre (AL), Amy and Kyle Young (AL), Kensley and Calebe Nunes(AL), Matt and Danielle Bumpas (SC), Graham and Lizzy Bumpas (GA), Zach Bumpas (AL), Brooke Brown (GA), Autumn and Matt Pinckard (TX). Great-grandchildren: Robin Gerich (TX), Ethan Gerich (TX), Corrie Lynn Gerich (TX), Natalie Barbre (AL), Titus Barbre (AL), John Barbre (AL), Ezra Nunes (AL), Addison Pinckard (TX).

Doris was born in Corsicana, attended Corsicana High School, and was a member of Northside Baptist Church from the age of 10. She lived in Ennis with her first husband Bruce for thirty years, where they were active at Tabernacle Baptist Church. After Bruce's passing, Doris returned to Corsicana and Northside Baptist Church, later marrying Joe McGaugh in 1994. They remained active members of Northside, placing Christ at the center of their lives.
