Dr. Biltz is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Jane Saunders Biltz, his sons Charles Biltz Jr. and wife Tracy, Frederick Biltz and wife Meredith, John Biltz, MD, and wife Susan, and Daniel Biltz and wife Melissa; his grandchildren Christopher Jones and wife Rebecca, Stuart Biltz and wife Jamie, Alexander Biltz, Major, USAF, Gabriel Biltz and wife Alexandra, Briana Biltz, Charles Maxwell Biltz, Celeste Biltz, Caroline Biltz, DO, and husband Terrell Roane, DO, Ross Biltz, and Zachary Biltz; and his great-grandchildren Henry and Hazel Biltz. Dr. Biltz graduated from Highlands High School in Fort Thomas, where he proudly still holds a Bluebird track record. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Biltz received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.

He served as a Captain in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas. Following his military service, he returned to Kentucky for a one-year gastroenterology fellowship, then established his permanent practice in Corsicana, Texas, where he practiced at Medical Arts Clinic for more than 45 years, earning the respect and gratitude of countless patients and colleagues.

Dr. Biltz was deeply committed and engaged in his community and profession. He served as a Vestry member of St. John's Episcopal Church for many terms, was a long-standing member of the Corsicana Independent School District Board holding multiple leadership positions, coached YMCA youth sports, served as CISD Football Team Physician for more than 20 years, and was Chief of Staff at Navarro County Memorial Hospital. He also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Southwestern Medical School and as Secretary/Treasurer of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Physicians. He was a member of the Harvard Alumni Association, a committed Democratic Party volunteer, an enthusiastic outdoorsman, and an avid Texas Tech University sports fan.

Dr. Biltz was widely admired for his gracious and kind leadership as he led by example with integrity, patience, and an unwavering sense of fairness. He mentored generations of physicians, students, and community leaders, teaching as much by example as by instruction. He had a gift for offering guidance that was calm and thoughtful and delivered with a perfectly timed quip and a smile. Within his family, he was generous with encouragement, measured and impactful advice, and always ready with quiet wisdom. Whether in the clinic, the boardroom, or around the dinner table, his leadership style was marked by respect, humility and hallmarked with his endearing and warm sense of humor. When he wasn't attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events or traveling to a Texas Tech game, you could find him exploring the great outdoors on family trips, welcoming guests, communing with nature, and hosting bluegrass festivals at the Biltz ranch, supporting the Corsicana arts at local theatre events, worshiping at St. John's each week, delivering Food for Fitness, and practicing yoga with his friends at the YMCA. He extended grace and generosity in word and deed to everyone he met. His zest for life and love for his family was unmatched and has left an unceasing impact on those who knew him.
