My thoughts and prayers are with the Richard family at this time of loss. I have many memories of Carolyn and I during our nursing school years. She was always so friendly and always willing to help. I know she will be missed. Barb Honea, Navarro College ADN Class of 1984.

I have so many memories of Carolyn that it is difficult to narrow down to one. What a magnificent lady and dedicated employee. I hate the way her employment ended after so many dedicated years of service. The memory I will share is one where there was a meeting in Dallas and Carolyn had someone bring her but the meeting was overnight. The person that brought her could not stay and bring her home. I had to drive right through Corsicana on my way home so I told Liz that I would drive her back. Liz came to me and said Carolyn was intimidated to ride with me. She did not know if she would be able to talk to me on the drive. I said it would be ok, we would figure it out. The day came and... we struck out for Corsicana and I am pretty sure I only said about 10 words and there wasn’t a moment of silence on the trip. I heard so many neat family stories. One about having 8 Christmas trees up year round amazes me and one about a son at SAM HOUSTON, Huntsville police, and the son not calling home had me laughing so hard I almost had to pull over and stop. I took my wife to several Christmas parties at the Corsicana office and Carolyn also treated her so kind! Prayers for her family! Strength to continue her legacy!Read more
