She was a member of First Baptist Church of Corsicana. Brenda was a Corsicana High School graduate of 1970. She graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. She worked as a case worker for Texas Attorney General. She also worked in the family business, Childers Electric for many years. She loved to garden, grow flowers and plants in pots, antiques and go to estate sales.
She is survived by her son, Chad Lano Barron; grandson, Liam Ryan Barron; sister Gilda Joyner; niece Mandi and husband Jeff Jones; nephew Byron and wife Cynthia Joyner; great niece and nephew, Summer Jones and Hunter Jones; great niece Kate Joyner. Numerous extended family members.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Family graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019 at Resthaven Memorial Park with Dr. Danny Reeves officiating.
