Bene Raines, 58, of Dawson, passed away Monday, April 29, 2019 in Waco.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Dawson with Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Bene was born June 7, 1960 in Waco to C.W. and Rita Mae (McNutt) Raines. He lived most all of his life in Texas but spent a few years of his youth in New York before moving back to Dawson.

Bene was a self-employed truck driver and also operated a truck escort service.

Bene is survived by wife, Billie Raines of Dawson; daughter, Tabitha Brock-East and husband Wayne East of Dallas; daughter, Hilah Brock of Dawson; daughter, Shalena Brock of Dawson; son, Orrin Brock and wife Mindy Brock of Dawson; daughter, Sara Raines of Dawson; son, Jesse Raines and wife, Baylee Raines of Dawson; grandson, Devin Brock of Dawson; granddaughter, Destiny Brock of Dawson; grandson, Jaelynn Hawkins of Dawson; grandson, T.C. Raines of Dawson; brother, Chuck Raines and wife, Christy Raines of Dawson; sister, Shelia Leath and husband, Gene Leath of Liberty Hill; nephew, Ryan Foreman of Corsicana; nephew, Heath Foreman of Kyle; niece, Heather Davis of Austin; nephew, Michael Crosswhite and wife, Andrea Crosswhite of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; niece, Melanie Sibley and husband, Jeramy Sibley of Waco and nephew, Nathan Raines of Waco

There are numerous other children that he treated like his own like Kenny, Tony, John, Michael, Nikki, Jessie Adell, Crystal, and Jessica.

There are several other family members and friends that are spread out through the world that meant the world to him and will miss him dearly.

Predeceased relatives are his mom, Rita Shankle, step-dad Bob Shankle, dad, C.W. Raines, T.C. Reeder, and numerous other family members.
