Ann Scott Obituary

Corsicana - Ann Marron Scott (Marshall), age 83, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, on December 27, 1940, to the late Lester and Marrion Marshall. Ann, an identical twin to Barbara White (deceased in 1990), was also a beloved sister to Ray and Diana Marshall.

Ann graduated from Roswell High School in 1958 and briefly worked at the Roswell Daily Record. It was during her time in Roswell she met the love of her life, Bob Scott, being introduced through her twin sister. Ann and Bob exchanged vows in July of 1961, embarking on a 58-year marriage until Bob's passing in 2019.

Together, Ann and Bob built a beautiful family, raising four children - Michael, Robert, Eileen, and Mary Kathryn. Ann's devotion to her family was unwavering, and her home was a place of love, laughter, and warmth. Driven by her nurturing spirit, Ann went back to school to pursue a nursing degree, eventually becoming a dedicated Registered Nurse at Navarro Regional Hospital for a decade. She was proud to be a part of the inaugural graduating class of nurses from Navarro Junior College. Her focus was in labor and delivery, where she found immense joy in assisting and comforting her patients during the most celebratory moments of their lives.

Besides being dedicated to her family and nursing career, Ann found enjoyment in all types of music and singing, cultivating vibrant gardens, and had a great love for reading. Not to mention, she was the Dallas Cowboys' most devoted fan, eagerly tuning in to watch them every Sunday afternoon!

Ann will be cherished for her beauty, kindness, wit, and the enduring strength she displayed throughout her life's journey. Her laughter had the ability to fill a room, and she possessed an unwavering, unconditional love for her family. Always ready to extend a helping hand and cheer them on, Ann often expressed how her children were the most precious and greatest accomplishment in her life.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and family that will endure for generations to come. Ann had a steadfast faith and was a true believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. She was a proud member of St. John's Episcopal Church for over 50 years. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband, Bob, and her twin sister, Barbara.

Ann is survived by her children Michael Scott (wife Carroll) of Austin, Texas, Robert Scott (wife Nancy) of Dallas, Texas, Eileen Scott-Neighbors of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Mary Kathryn Scott-Clay of Corinth, Texas. She is also survived by her brother Ray Marshall (wife Yajaira Medina) of Kingwood, Texas and sister Diana Marshall of San Antonio, Texas. Ten grandchildren, Emily Clay, Kennedy Clay, Elise Neighbors, Bobby Scott (wife Samantha), Andre Scott, Hannah Scott, Preston Scott, Jonathan Scott, Davis Scott, and Andrew Scott; two great-grandsons, Jaxon Clay-Neal, Carter Don Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews.
