Ola Jewel Cumbie Sisson, 97, passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village. She was born on Sept. 23, 1919 in Henderson County to Lee and Estelle Tiner.
She was a sweet, kind, and caring soul who loved her family more than anything. She was a hard worker and helped those in need in any way she could. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Raymon Eugene Cumbie and Brooks Cumbie; as well as her parents.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Lisa Knight; great-granddaughter, Misty Cunningham and husband Derek; great-grandsons, Cody Knight, and Justin Knight and Chelsea Wofford; great-great grandchildren, Hunter Cunningham, Trenton Cunninghma, Krystyn Knight, Addisyn Knight, Kynslee Knight, and Jhaxsyn Knight, as well as her daughter-in-law, Adene Cumbie.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 at Corley Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held from 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating the service will be Dr. Mark Luera.
Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derek Cunningham, Hunter Cunningham, Trenton Cunningham, Cody Knight, Justin Knight, and James Knight.
