Louesther McGraw,'s Story
Louesther McGraw, 96, of Blooming Grove passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Twilight Home. She was born on Feb. 4, 1921 in Snyder, Texas to Charlie and Ella Mae Holifield.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. She owned and operated McGraw Grocery in Blooming Grove for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed decorating her yard and won "Yard of the Month" numerous times. She enjoyed sewing clothes for herself and her family as well as attending church regularly whenever the doors were open.
She was preceded in death by husband, Dorsey McGraw; son, Harold Don McGraw; daughter-in-law, Virginia McGraw; sisters, Evelyn Falk, Aline Vest; brothers, J.B. Holifield and Barny Gene Holifield.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda "Sis" Bray and husband Bob; daughter-in-law, Barbara McGraw; grandchildren, Ricky McGraw and wife Diane, Donna Bator and husband Ed, Debbie McGraw, Patti Pitts and husband Jim, Kim Laywell and husband Hank, and Robert Bray; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Ware, Jamison Ware, Danny McGraw, Andrew McGraw, Landon McGraw, Stephanie Bator, Whitney Brown, Brint Bray, Devan Bray, Landry Laywell, Corben Bray; nine great great-grandchildren as well as her sister, Buela Mae Cates.
Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at
First Baptist Church of Blooming Grove with funeral service to follow at 10 a.m. Officiating the service will be pastor Grady Cashion. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the great-grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers will the Deacons of First Baptist Church of Blooming Grove.
