Leroy's Story

Rev. Leroy Elmore, 81, left to be with the Lord Friday, April 7, 2017. He was born Jan. 29, 1936.
Rev. Elmore ministered for 53 years at various churches with the Assembly of God. In addition he was the owner of Elmore's Painting in Corsicana since 1974.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Leon and Opal Elmore, as well as his brothers, Larry Elmore and Jack Elmore.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Imogene Robinson Elmore, his two sons, Stephen Elmore and partner Rod Clark of Dallas and Daniel Elmore of Corsicana; grandchildren, Joshua Lee Elmore, Amber DeLynn Feese and husband Benjamin, Megan DeNell Elmore, Stephanie Rae Castillo and husband Luis, Zach Elmore and Jordan Elmore. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; brothers Doyle Elmore and wife Sue, Raymond Elmore and wife Oleta, Harvey Elmore, Lonnie Elmore and wife Rikki; sisters Linda Bennett, Joyce Gillespie, Nancy Dunsmore, Peggy Allen and husband Robert, Andra Jones and husband Ronnie, Rebecca Hall and husband Danny. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews he dearly loved.
Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Trinity Assembly of God, 109 FM 2452 with Rev. James Williams officiating. The reading of the obituary will be delivered by Rev. Keith Berry. Burial will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Elmore, Stephen Elmore, Joshua Elmore, Zach Elmore, Jordan Elmore, Jeremy Clark-McKay, Benjamin Feese, Luis Castillo.
Although he is no longer with us, find solace in your faith by Rev. 21:4, "God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain."
