Kent's Story

Mr. Kent Randall, age 77, of Purdon passed away Tuesday Aug. 1, 2017 at his home on the land that he so loved with his family holding his hands. He was born June 13, 1940 in Winslow, Arizona to Richard C. and Fontella Randall.
Kent was born and raised in Winslow, Arizona. He was the oldest of six kids. While he was in school he spent many summers helping his Grandparents and Uncles in Utah on their farm. He graduated from Winslow High School in 1958. He worked as a ranch hand for a ranch outside of Winslow before attending Arizona State University.
Before finishing college he enlisted in the Navy. He was stationed on the USS Lenawee home ported in San Diego where he met his wife Judi. Kent's honorable discharge was June 7, 1966.
Kent and Judi married June 29, 1966. They moved to Dallas in Jan. 1967. Kent then went to work for the aircraft company LTV. He retired from there in 1997 after 30 years of service. He also worked and supported Judi in her H&R Block offices.
Upon retirement he lived the rest of his life as he had always dreamed as a Cowboy and Rancher.
Kent was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed traveling and dancing for many years, until his battle with cancer became more than he could fight.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mom, Mary Randall and brother Bob Randall.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judi Randall; sons, Rusty Randall and wife, Brandi, John Bishop and wife, Debbie and Donnie Bishop. Kent is also survived by his grandchildren; Rian Randall, Bethani Lindsey, Mason Wear, Michael Randall, Jason Wear and Sean Bishop. He is also survived by his siblings; Bill Randall and wife, Shanna, Mike Randall and wife, Shelia, Betty Rogers, and Doris Wilcox and brother-in-law Bill Cooper.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Solan Bailey officiating. Honorary pall bearers are Mike Beacom, Blake Swadley, Mike Coleman, James Greer Edwin Rogers, Daniel Thompson and Jeremy Scruggs.
The family wants to thank Dr. Ronald Rodriguez and the entire staff of Hand N Hand Hospice for their care during this time.
