Harold Wayne Prater Sr., of Corsicana passed away at his home on Sunday Afternoon, June 11, 2017 at the age of 82. He was born in Frost Dec. 28, 1934 to Woodrow Wilson Prater and Frenchie Denn Prater.
Harold graduated from Corsicana High School in 1952. For 58 years he owned Prater Builders in Corsicana/Navarro County building homes. He loved his calling in life to help those reach their goals of having their 'dream home', and in doing so making a lot of longtime friends and repeat customers.
Harold enjoyed the outdoors. Fishing for crappie and hunting turkey and deer with his family and friends was his way of relaxing and enjoying Gods creation. He also enjoyed traveling with one of his favorite destinations, being the Texas Hill Country. And then there is the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and Corsicana Tigers who he supported year after year, and would listen to their games at home or on hunting trips.
Harold will always be remembered by his family as our great leader, because he was the most fair and honest man we ever knew.
