Fryda Keel, 88, of Streetman passed away on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016. She was born on May 23, 1928 in Lithuania to Julius and Lenanee Holevegas.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always willing to help out anyone in need. In her leisure time, she loved to crochet and knit for her friends and family. Fryda was good hearted and a kind woman that will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Billy Gene Keel; her parents, Lena and Julius Holevegas; two sisters, and one brother.
She is survived by her sons, David Keel and James Keel and wife (Ann) of Streetman; daughters, Linda Colvins (Penny) of Benbrook, Karen Johnston of Fort Worth, Lisa Beel of Streetman and Shirley Keel of Streetman; sisters, Marta Holegevas, Lydia Nelson, and Ela Fromm and as well as nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016 from at Corley Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating the service will be Dr. Elton McCann.
