Cleo Nichols Boone, 93, of Richardson and formerly of Corsicana passed away Monday, Aug. 28, 2017 in Richardson. She was born Sept. 21, 1923 in Corsicana to David Edmond Nichols and Eunie Austin Nichols.
She was raised in the Pickett community and attended and graduated from Richland High School. She was a strong lady and had a great love for her family, friends and her church family at First Baptist church in Corsicana where she was an active member until she moved to Richardson. She loved to read in her quiet time. She worked for the JM Dyer Company for many years, and then later was employed in the Navarro County District Clerk's office until her retirement.
Through her faith in the Lord and her prayer life she left an incredible legacy to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Boone; daughters, Jan Boone and Debbie Boone; her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Brewer and husband George of Richardson; granddaughters, Austin Stratton and husband Mark of Plano and Katie Brooks and husband AJ of Coppell; great grandchildren, Adaline, Maddox, Brylee and Teagan Stratton of Plano; brother, Paul Nichols of Waxahachie and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Brewer officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
