Brenda Sue Bearden, 72, of Purdon passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2017 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana. She was born March 17, 1944 in Malakoff to John Dee Schultz and Margie Faye Musick Schultz.
She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend to anyone she met. She loved when all the family got together especially before her mother passed. She loved Christmas time and always put the tree up the day after Thanksgiving. She made sure that everything was decorated and everybody had plenty of gifts. She put everyone else first. Even though she had lots of struggles she always made you laugh with a joke, smile or her sweet voice. She was one of a kind.
She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Ryan and Reid Ivie; parents, and sister, Paulette Hobbs.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Bearden of Purdon; sons, Brian Tarkington of Purdon, Brad Tarkington and wife Linsey of Arlington, Caleb Ivie of Purdon, and Michael Bearden of Purdon; daughter, Christy Fleming of Odessa; granddaughter, Brianna Tarkington of Terrell; grandsons, Aaron Tarkington of Blooming Grove, Reese Tarkington of Blooming Grove, and Hayden Ivie of Corsicana; brothers, Jerrell Schultz and wife Barbara of Kerens, Johnny Schultz of Purdon, and David Schultz and wife Liz of Garland; sisters, Glenda Brown and husband James of Corsicana; brother-in-law, Billy Hobbs of Corsicana along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 at Corley Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Thom "Bubba" Layfield officiating.
