Billie Jean Reeder, 79, of Corpus Christi and formerly of Corsicana passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at her daughter's residence in Corpus Christi. She was born on Dec. 21, 1937 in Buck Holts to William Tyroch and Bertha Schwinger Tyroch.
She was an active part of the VFW Post 3366 in Corsicana for many years. She enjoyed ministering to others through her cooking, baking, and craft making. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church while she lived here, and later become a member of Annaville Baptist Church in Corpus Christi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Reeder; grandson, Dayly Bryan Gee and brothers, Thomas Turner and Terry Tyroch.
She is survived by her sons, Denis Gee and wife Susan and Stanley Gee; daughters, Jenean Howarth and Patricia Smith and husband Richard; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; sisters, Frances Zipprian and Maxine Agnew; her beloved four legged companion "Sissy" and extended family members from the Reeder family.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2017 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rick Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
