Willie Lee Wiese of Corsicana passed away at his home Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018 at the age of 74. He was born in West to William "Bill" Wiese and Lydia Straut Wiese. He worked for 40 years at Oil City Iron Works as a heavy equipment operator. Willie enjoyed watching western movies and television shows. Movies that included John Wayne and shows like Gun Smoke. He liked sitting on his porch picking out pecans and spending time visiting with family and friends. Willie was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Corsicana.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Jimmy, Alvin, Mildred and Margie; daughter Peggy White and his wife Joyce Wiese who passed away in June 2015. He is survived by his children; Steve Young and wife J.J., Jerry Young and wife Debroah, Pamela Bryant, Nathan Young and wife Karon and Arleen Anderson and husband David; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Helen McCoy, Eddie Ray Wiese and Leonard Wiese.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018 at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 in the Chapel at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home with Bro. Chad Owens officiating. Interment to follow at Eureka Cemetery with pallbearers being Juan Mendoza Jr., Cody Barber, Nathan Young II, Ray Childress, David Mendoza and James Trull.
