William (Bill) Harrison Sifers, 77, of Corsicana went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 while surrounded by his loved ones.
Bill was loved by many. He always went out of his way to help a friend in need. He loved visiting with his family, turning on the Cowboys' games, and watching hummingbirds gather around the feeders in his backyard. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was an excellent father, grandfather, and friend. He loved the Lord, studied his bible regularly, and spoke of heaven often. Though he will be missed greatly, there is no doubt he is now free of all suffering, walking the streets of gold.
Bill leaves behind his four children, Brad Sifers of La Rue, Tina Sifers of Athens, Texas, Brandon Sifers of Joshua and Krista Sifers-Basinger of Corpus Christi; daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Amanda Sifers of Joshua and David Basinger of Corpus Christi; three grandchildren, Kaleb Sifers of Eustace, Kalista Sifers of Fort Worth, and Leeah Sifers of Joshua; siblings, Sue Mullins of Mesquite, Charles Sifers of Rosebud, Ruby Pirtle of Athens, Texas, Horton Brown of Minneola and Thelma Joe Brown of Athens, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Bill's memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Petty's Chapel, 1300 FM 3041 in Corsicana.
The family ask for no flowers, only request the presence of all who knew and loved him.
