Wanda Dawson, 73, of Corsicana passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 in Dallas.
She was born April 4, 1944 to Cleve and Beulah Tackett of Mexia. She was a homemaker, an avid animal lover, and enjoyed gardening. She was known for her kind, generous heart.
The last 25 years she worked with her husband every summer on their place "Happy Ours Farm." She found great joy in all the people that came to the orchard throughout the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a much-loved son-in-law Johnny Chapman and much-loved nephew, Lynnie Long.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jimmy Dawson; daughter Tammy Chapman; grandson Justin Chapman and wife Christy; granddaughter Holly Galbreath and husband Tiger; her much-loved great-grandchildren Avery and Rhen Chapman; sisters and brother, June and Columbus Long, Candy Hardin and husband Red, Teri Hill and Rick Tackett. She is also survived by numerous other family and friends.
