Tommie Coker Jones, 79, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Twilight Home in Corsicana. She was born on Nov. 16, 1937 in Blooming Grove to Augustus Bernice Coker and Frances Emily Thorn Coker.
She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She worked for many years as a seamstress, and later worked in retail sales where the community loved seeing her every day.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Newton Jones; son, James N. Jones, Jr.; parents, Augustus and Frances Coker and sisters, Letha Mae Gentry and Brenda Coker.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Morehead and husband Gary and Vickie Wing and husband Ron; son, Randy Jones and husband Robert all of Corsicana; granddaughter, Crystal Teerlink and husband Aaron of Lewisburg, Missouri; grandsons, Jeff Milligan and wife Nicky, Cory Milligan and wife Halie Rose of Corsicana, Donnie Morehead and wife Melissa of Preston, Missouri, Brian Wing and wife Lisa and Eric Wing and wife Christy of Corsicana; 16 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Frances Bridger of Barry; brother-in-law, Joe Coker of Barry and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Corley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Hayes officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Wing, Eric Wing, Ron Wing, Jeff Milligan, Cory Milligan and Gary Morehead.
