"Ted" Warren passed from this life on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at the age of 80. He was born Aug. 17, 1936 and was a life long resident of Corsicana. He was married to the love of his life, Wanza, for 60 years.
He was a family man above all and had a deep and abiding love for his family. He came from a large family and had an extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He had a close relationship with nephew Charles Warren.
Ted was a graduate of Baylor University Class of 1979. He lived a long and happy life. He loved God and his country. He was a dedicated public servant, serving in the United States Air Force before joining the Corsicana Police Department, where he worked for years as an officer and detective before retirement. After retirement from the Police Department he was appointed Director of Adult Probation of Navarro County by the late Judge Buck Douglas. As a young man Ted developed a passion for the cowboy life. He loved riding bulls, the land and preferred being outside, enjoying nature in God's country.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
He is survived by his wife and their three children Terry Warren, Connie Hickman and husband, Ron Hickman, Debbie Warren and husband, Tom Gridley; grandchildren, Ryan Null, Mark Mayfield and wife, Jaclyn, Jordyn Hickman and Todd Warren. He is also survived by great grandson Hayes Mayfield.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017 at Corley Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3 Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at Dresden Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Bro. Ed Straubing. Ceremonial honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force Honor Guard as well as the Navarro County Sheriff's Department Honor Guard.
