Susie Swank, 77 of Kerens, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Navarro Regional Hospital.
Susie was an advocate of CASA. CASA is a national volunteer movement that began more than 30 years ago consisting of volunteers who provide the courts with the detailed information needed to protect children's best interests and ensure that they are placed in a safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible.
She is survived by daughters, Diana Hickey of Kerville and Julie Stewart of Kerens; sons, David Hickey of Austin and James Hickey of Fredericksburg; brother, William David Swank of Ft. Worth; six grandchildren, Blair Mack, Katherin Marlow, Grace Hickey, Aiden Hickey, Vincent Hickey and Mason Stewart and two great grandchildren, Caroline and Henry Mack.
Memorial service is scheduled for 11 A.M. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Kerens. Bro. David LeFlore officiating.
The family has requested that memorials may be made to the Swank Encampment Fund c/o First Baptist Church P.O. Box 219 Kerens, Texas 75144.
