Sammy H. Ivy Sr., 75, of Corsicana passed away Monday, Aug. 7, 2017 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana. He was born Aug. 13, 1941 in Eden, Texas to Bill and Willie B. Gentry.
He was an antique dealer for many years, and had several other hobbies which included making jewelry and leaded glass shades. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice E. Ivy; his parents, Bill and Willie Ivy; sister, Velma Williams; and brothers, Jack and Joe Ivy.
He is survived by his son, Sammy H. Ivy Jr. and wife Cynthia of Corsicana; daughters, Elizabeth Duckworth of Ennis and Paula Watson and husband Wayne of Corsicana; granddaughters, Ashley Johnston and husband Travis of Garland and Rebecca Ivy of New York; grandsons, Jason Lee Watson, Dalton Watson, and Benjamin Watson of Corsicana; and four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017 at Corley Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Lain Teel officiating.
