Roy Kenneth Arnett, 87 of Corsicana, passed away from a broken heart of losing the love of his life after 45 years. He was born Dec. 22, 1929 in Corsicana to Frank and Lena Arnett. Roy worked 35 years at Metzgers Dairy. He was a member of a Racing Homing Pigeons club for years. He enjoyed telling jokes and stories.
He is preceded in death by his wife Jeanie Arnett; parents; brother James Lloyd Arnett; sister Oleta Raney and sister Dana Bonner.
Roy is survived by his children, Sherry Cheek and husband Mike of Jewitt, Darla Bonner and husband Donnie of Corsicana, Donna Kelm and husband Beckett of Fairfield, Mike Arnett and wife Shaye of Red Oak; sister JoAnn Tomlin; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Lewis, Kaleb Ferguson, Ronnie Raney, Bryan Cheek, Jacob Rash, Beckett Kelm.
