Rose's Story

Rose Kathryn Baggett, 84, passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2018. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, animal lover, and friend. Rose was very passionate about many things including her love for travel, collecting whatever she found beauty in, preparing extravagant meals for her family, but most of all, she was passionate about her family and her faith.
She was born March 8, 1933, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Hardcastle.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Chaplain Colonel Jimmie D. Baggett, USAF, of Corsicana.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Kim Baggett of Corsicana; son Mark Baggett (and the late Sherry Baggett) of Corsicana; grandson Joshua Baggett of Beeville; granddaughter Lindsay of Little Rock, Arkansas; granddaughters Jessica of Corsicana, Emily of Aiken, South Carolina and two great-grandsons, Wesley and Alexander.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. There will be a private burial at the Dallas, Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
