Roberta Taylor Brown, 91, of Emhouse passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at her home in Emhouse. She was born Sept. 16, 1926 in Cedar Hill to Spence Bryan Taylor and Cora Cornelia Hoffard Taylor.
She married James Edwin Brown Oct. 9, 1968. They enjoyed a loving marriage for 49 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Spence Bryan and Cora Cornelia Taylo and a sister, Dorothy Jean Taylor Wood.
She is survived by her husband, James Edwin Brown of Emhouse; son, Richard Larry Holloway and wife Cheryl of Terrell; step-daughter, Dana Ashley and husband Gary of Illinois; grandson, Bryan Holloway and wife Karen of Terrell; granddaughter, Stacy Burton and husband Brian of Royse City; great grandchildren, James Holloway, Cheyenne Holloway, Jonathan Burton and Megan Burton; sister, JoAnn Rhodes of Corsicana; nephew, Garry Rhodes and wife Pam of Corsicana; nieces, Leesa Ward and husband Kyle of Bossier City, Louisiana and Janet Wood Williams of Dallas.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Otis Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Burton, Bryan Holloway, Garry Rhodes, Whit Tanner, Jonathan Burton, and James Holloway.
Lunch will be served following the service for family and friends at the Emhouse Baptist Church.
