Rex Bower

Rex Bower Rex Bower III, 69 of Addison passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019. He was born July 30, 1949 in Corsicana to Rex Bower Jr. and Juanita Littlejohn Bower. He is a 1967 graduate of Corsicana High School and a 1972 graduate of University of Texas in Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Juanita Bower.
He is survived by his wife, Danielle Bower of Addison; children, Kennedy of Dallas, Amir of Addison, Abdullah and Lauren of Hampton, Virginia, Sewar of Pittsburg and Raya of Pittsburg; brother and sister, Ray Bower of Katy, Patsy Warren of Corsicana and one grandchild, Bryce.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019 with funeral services following at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home with Rev. Cathy Collier officiating.
Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Rex and I shared Corsicana from Lee School to CHS '67, and beyond. When he moved to Pittsburg we agreed when we had a party, he would bring the ice! Being Rex was an art form and he was its master!

I have never met Rex personally, but I’ve known Daniel since I was 4 years old....Rex, you have made one of my favorite people in the world a very Happy woman, you loved her and her children unconditionally....May you shine like a star in the sky, and may your soul soar everlastingly peacefully.

Heartbroken over Rex’s passing but know he is now free from pain.. He was my neighbor., classmate and friend for most of our lives. RIP my funny crazy friend. You will be missed. Prayers for the family.
