Rev. Clyde's Story
Rev. Clyde E. Franks, 66, of Crockett went to be with his Lord and Savior on Christmas morning, Monday, Dec. 25, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 3, 1951 in Corsicana to Roy Eugene Franks, Sr. and Mary Florence Boyte Franks.
He was an ordained minister, and has enjoyed several churches over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Franks of Crockett; son, Michael Franks and wife Christie of Ranger; granddaughter, Brianna Thompson and husband Christopher of Gorman; grandsons, Robert Franks and wife Cristy of Victoria and Adam Franks of Ranger; step-granddaughters, Sarah Fuqua of Grand Prairie, Tori Fuqua and Tiffany Ponce of Ranger; step-grandsons, Christian Everts and Oren Thompson of Gorman; sisters, Glenda Robinson and Sue Lancaster of Corsicana; brother, Roy Franks of Corsicana, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017 at Corley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at the House of Praise Church of God with Chaplin Larry Hart and the Rev. Jessie Taylor officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Franks, Christopher Thompson, Lance Northen, Johnny Forstman, Shannon Wiggins and William Robinson.
