Patsy Ruvenia Toomey was born Nov. 16, 1928, in Trumbull. She passed away Oct. 15, 2017, in Corsicana. Her devoted husband of 71 years, her only child and her husband, her adored grandchildren and spouses, and great grandchildren were with her as she left her earthly home.
Patsy was a wonderful homemaker and created a nurturing and welcoming home for her family and friends. Most of her life was lived in Ferris, where she worked on many community, school, and church projects. She joined the Ferris Methodist Church when she was 12 years old.
Patsy and her husband, Raymond, moved to Corsicana in 1999 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Sylvia and Roy Toomey, and her brother, Roy Toomey, Jr.
Surviving family is her husband, Raymond Fulton; daughter Sylvia and husband, Dr. Neal Green; grandson, Neal Green, Jr., and wife, Laura; grandson, Phillip Green, and granddaughter and husband, Leslie and Eric Pomeroy along with great grandchildren, Neal Green, III, Libby Green and Nathan Pomeroy.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017 at Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
A celebration of life service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Ferris. Interment to follow in Ferris Memorial Park North.
Pallbearers are: Neal Green, Jr., Phillip Green, Neal Green, III, Eric Pomeroy, Jimmy Toomey, and Jason Toomey.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Neal Green, Nathan Pomeroy, Billy Fulton, Robert Fulton, and Charles Wayne Fulton.
