Milford's Story

Milford Jordan passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 peacefully with his family by his side. He was born Nov. 6, 1944 in Corsicana to Milford Harris and Sammie Jean Slater Jordan. Milford graduated from Dawson High School in 1963. He served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He attended Navarro College. Milford was employed in the glass manufacturing industry for 41 years. His career began at Chattanooga Glass in Corsicana in 1963 and ended at Saint Gobain in Waxahachie in 2007.
Milford was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Jordan; sister, Sandra Jordan French, and brother-in-law, Charles French.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharron of 46 years; daughter, Carrie Thomason and husband Johnny of Houston; step-daughter, Tanna Kerr and husband David of Wylie; grandchildren include Robert Gonzales, Brittany Thomason, and John Thomason; great granddaughter Aubrey Ray Thomason; sister-in-law, Phyllis English and husband Garland of Corsicana; nephews, Damon French, Derek French, Chad French and wife Debbie all of Mesquite, Danny English and wife Mary of Blooming Grove. He is also survived by three great nephews, Tucker French, Jordan French and Grant French and two great nieces, Ashley English Ward and Erica English.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Country Meadow Nursing Home and Mercy Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Dawson Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Damon French, Derek French, Chad French, Jerry Beasley, David Kerr, Dwayne Pritchett, Danny English.
